Rhizomatous geophyte.
Similar in appearance to Zantedeschia
aethiopica but different in the following respects:
- has an odour (smells of freesia);
- deciduous
- fruiting stalks bend over rather than being upright;
and
- has a much more localised distribution: found in damp
places in the dolerite outcrops of the Bokkeveld Plateau near
Nieuwoudtville.
