Identification
A brownish-grey long-nosed dogfish with a
short, high 1st dorsal fin and no subcaudal keel.
Size
To 1.1 m TL.
Range
Namibia, Algoa Bay, Natal and southern Mozambique, possibly
entire coast.
Habitat
Upper slope at 275-640 m depth.
Biology
Poorly known, feeds on bony fish.
Human Impact
Probably a sporadic
catch of hake trawlers.
