Big Trees: the largest Outeniqua yellowwood trees

 

Afrocarpus falcatus (= Podocarpus falcatus) is known as the Outeniqua yellowwood or Small-leaved yellowwood and is the tallest native species of tree in southern Africa. Some of the largest specimens feature as tourist attractions in the vicinity of Knysna and Tsitsikamma and some of these are shown here.

This is The Big Tree on the N2 near Storms River Mouth, Eastern Cape, July 2006. Measurements are as follows (see noticeboard):
