Bufo amatolicus (Amatola Toad)

Found in temporary rain pools and seeps in high altitude grasslands in the Amatola and Katberg mountains.

Bufo angusticeps (Sand Toad)

Found mainly along coastal areas of the Western Cape and west of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape.

Bufo fenoulheti (Northern Pigmy Toad)

Found in savanna or woodland in Zimbabwe, western Mozambique, eastern Botswana, Limpopo province, and extending into  also northern Northwest Province, northern Gauteng, northern and eastern Mpumalanga, eastern Swaziland, and northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Bufo gariepensis (Karoo Toad)

Western Cape, Northern Cape, Free State, Lesotho, Eastern Cape, western KwaZulu-Natal, southen Mpumalanga and western Swaziland. Also recorded from Inyanga in Zimbabwe.

Bufo garmani (Eastern Olive Toad)

Mozambique, eastern Zimbabwe, Eastern Limpopo Province, eastern Mpumalanga, Swaziland and northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Bufo gutturalis (Guttural Toad)

Northern Namibia, northern Botswana, most of Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Northern regions of South Africa, extending down to southern Free State, northern Northern Cape and northern Eastern Cape.

Bufo lemairii (Lemaire's Toad)

Northeastern Namibia and and northwestern Botswana.

Bufo maculatus (Flat-backed Toad)

Northern Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eastern Limpopo Province, eastern Mpumalanga, Swaziland and northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Bufo pantherinus (Western Leopard Toad)

Distribution is limited to the Cape Peninsula, Cape Flats and vicinity.

Bufo pardalis (Eastern Leopard Toad)

Found along the coast of the Eastern Cape from about Port Elizabeth to East London.

Bufo poweri (Western Olive Toad)

Northern Namibia, Botswana, Northern Namibia, northern Northern Cape, Northwest Province, Limpopo Province.

Bufo rangeri (Raucous Toad)

Found in parts of all provinces but largely absent from Northern Cape and other karoid regions.

Bufo robinsoni (Paradise Toad)

Richtersveld National Park and eastwards along Orange River bordering Namibia.

Bufo vertebralis (Southern Pygmy Toad)

Mainly Free State, easten Northern Cape,  and northern Easten Cape.
