and a further species that is cultivated in

Gaura All 21 species are native to North America. Two species
have become naturalised in southern Africa and a further species is cultivated
in the region. |

Oenothera (evening primroses) The 125 species are all native to North and South America
but many of them have become naturalised in the Old World. In southern Africa,
15 species have become established and a further three species and one hybrid
are cultivated in the region. |

America, and New Zealand. More than 8000 hybrids and cultivars have been
developed for their distinctive and attractive flowers. Twelve species
cultivated in southern Africa as well as numerous hybrids and cultivars. |
