Distribution and habitat
Var. abbreviata: from Piketberg to Paarl, Western
Cape, South Africa, in renosterbos fragments on clay or gravel slopes and flats
(Helm et al., 2011).
Var. ovata: from Piketberg to Porterville, Western
Cape, South Africa. There are historical records from Citrusdal and Darling.
Occurs on sandy, usually damp flats (Goldblatt et al., 2011).
Conservation status
Var. abbreviata: Near Threatened (Helme et al.,
2011).
Var. ovata: Endangered (Goldblatt et al.,
2011).
